Why partner with the network?

If you are a researcher either currently working on or planning future research relating to the mental health of children and young people and would like to share research opportunities with parents and carers, you might want to partner with the network.

  • Looking to build collaborative relationships
  • Able to see the value of lived experience to research
  • Committed to developing safe, inclusive, and accessible research.
  • Working towards making our research more relevant and meaningful by including experiences from a diverse range of parents and carers
  • Committed to gaining insight and understanding into areas of importance for children and young people’s mental health
  • Continuing to promote inclusion and accessibility to research for those with lived experience
  • Encouraged to use the Parent Carer Research Network logo for the project they applied with. This will let parents and carers know that the project has met the standards of the network in terms of meaningful inclusion.
  • Support developing your project and exploring funding sources
  • Support with your application to work with the network
  • Resources on good practice e.g. advice around facilitation and communication with parents and carers.
